  1. Thanks for your message.

    I've downloaded the correct dos version.

    Now I get something different. When I type: "nvflash --list", here's what I get:

    Page fault cr2-10001800 at eip=3c5; flags=3a06

    eax=00000300 ebx=00110021 ecx=00003c00 edx=bfeb00b7 esi=00000000 edi=00001800

    ebp=00000912 esp=0000075a cs=87 ds=b7 es=af fs=0 gs=0 ss=8f error=0006

    Any ideas?

    Also I'm not sure if this is related but when I launch GPU-Z I get this box each time saying "Query_External_2532504.exe has stopped working" after which I close the program opens normally and correctly displays my hardware info.

  2. For some reason, whenever I try to use nvflash utility on prepared bootable usb stick I keep getting "this program cannot be run in dos"

    I'm not sure why this is happening, I have tried couple different versions of nvflash but I always get the same line, I've also tried changing files names so they are no longer than 8 letters, but that didn't make a difference.

    Any ideas?

  3. Hey again,

    I would like to inform you all that I have managed to get aforementioned GTX 765M up and running.

    It was a lot easier than I thought, the system booted no problem with original A12 bios in Enduro mode enabled.

    I have disabled it afterwards for obvious reasons, then had to modify inf. file to install the nvidia driver.

    Now coming to actual performance - it's not too bad if I'm to be perfectly honest.

    In Firestrike with 7970m I was getting about 4700 and 5000 with OC.

    With 765m I'm getting 2550 stock and 3350 OC which is not too shabby for a card that was 75$ brand new!

    Any of you played with overvolting this GTX? I think my m17x should have plenty of headroom to keep it cool, who knows maybe with high voltage I could get it closer to 4000 in FS?

    Thanks for your replies!

  4. Hi,

    After almost 5 years of quite heavy use my Radeon 7970m died. Therefore I'm stuck with Intel HD 4000 for the time being which is a real pain.

    I have done my research, checked all pros and cons, and decided to go ahead and get myself GTX 765m, as it seems to offer the best bang for your buck since you can get new cards off ebay for under 100$.

    My question is, did any of you have some negative feedback when it comes to above card? I would be happy enough if it lasted as long as my last card.

    Ps. I know this is not the most exciting topic ever and all, but I'm quite desperate to get full access so I can get my hands on unlocked bios for my m17xr4 in case I got stucked while installing this new hardware.

    Thanks in advance for your answers!
