Hello, My brother is alnost finishing his last year at school, and wants to study Mechanical Engineering at a university, but needs some help with specs for a laptop for working with SolidWorks, etc... He found a laptop that has an GTX 1050Ti, 8GB of RAM, and a core i5 cpu, Kaby Lake. He did his research, and found that you need a minimum of 8GB of RAM for SolidWorks, which is fine. But, do he really need a core i7 cpu or is it not going to make a difference? An SSD will definitely make a difference. A workstation laptop is not an option. He plays some GPU intensive games, like Far Cry 4, etc... What is your opinions about this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
