6pin plugged directly into gtx970 with two 4pin power supply plugs
Nothing in the 6pin hole on the EXP GDC Beast
I plugged it in and didn't detect it in my device manager. What's the next step? I can't find a good guide about what to do next. I was really hoping I'd just plug it all together and POOF, it'd magically work.
I have an internal nvidia 840m with 376.33 driver version
Should I downgrade drivers to get it to work? Do I 6pin m-m cord as a necessity? Is there a guide somewhere?

So I finally got all my parts...
Asus N56JN-DS71 (internal nvidia 840m card with 376.33 driver)
EXP GDC Beast v8.4
EVGA gtx970
Old 480w Antec power suppy
Or so I thought. Turns out my EVGA GTX 970 might need a 6pin m-m cable?
I did this instead with the cables provided to me by EVGA/EXP GDC Beast.

Any need to change the switches on my GDC Beast?
