Xonar,
There is an updated bios version from MSI for GT 60 series.
http://msi.com/product/nb/GT60-0NC.html#/?div=BIOS
you might as well put the modded bios version with this one regarding the memory tweaks, cpu unlock etc... tnx
Hi
There is something strange with this new bios.
The previous bios 10T does nothave any option to boot in UEFI mode.
Cant install the 50T bios.
I did ask MSI to comment and waiting for an answer.
EDIT
reading more on i it seems that new GT60/GT70 are shipped with a different bios which has a win 8 key embedded in the bios. Probably the 50T is only for GT60 shipped with win 8. If that is tue,Lets hope MSI will keep maintening both bios version.

I'm really bad with deadlines, sorry mate.
There should be an option under Advanced called "Extra". When you go into Extra it should take you to a new subfolder with a bunch of CPU options and memory timings, etc, etc. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Hi Xonar
Did you have time to make it ?
Thanks

Hi
Same with the GT60 no menu to change RAM speed ...
Only able to overclock CPU so far
-
Stayed tune then, I should have a new one with memory options within this week. I'm awfully busy right now.

Which notebook? Some notebooks don't have the Chipset tab & memory options available. If it's a 3rd gen Intel notebook then I believe that I have a work-around to the memory settings menu missing. If it's a 1st-gen notebook, you're probably out of luck (Although some 1st-gen Intel MSI's can accept the barebone BIOS which has the memory settings in a user-accessible chapter).
It is a GT60
Thx

I did flash withput any issue and was able to overclock the CPU.
I dont find the option to set memory speed. Can someone point it out ?

Thanks for the work Xonar.
Will test the GT60 bios later today. UDS 5 donation was quicker then 5 posts
a couple of question
I currently have the 10M bios (not the original 30M), but there are already a RAID option in that bios. I did not test it as my setting is not RAID. IS the for display only ?
Is that correct to assume that your modified bios isworking fine with the Beta EC released by MSI
BETA EC for GT60 (16F3) & GT70 (1762)
BETA EC for GT60 (16F3) & GT70 (1762)

Bios level. Basically as Bios on shipped windows 8 is EFI you can't upgrade a shipped windows 7 laptop with a windows 8 bios except playing with the files. One guy tried and bricked is laptop.
Not sure if you can upgrade a shipped windows 8 laptop with a win 7 bios but I will not even try. Maybe you dont brick the laptop in such case but I am not sure to whatwill happen to your windows key and activation.
According to MSI both BIOS are the same except the Windows 8 protection system.

IS that heat or throttling ?
you can also try the Beta EC that you can findon MSI forums.
Not sure if it helps for throttling but seems to ease for GC OC.
