after purchasing the 3heatpipe for XM cpus i couldnt find any fans with more flow that could keep things cooler. sound isnt an issue for me. if you do find replacement fans let me know. only thing i thought about was doing some modding to the bottom of the lappy to get more airflow

unfortunately i had to replace my motherboard when i had this problem. tried every single help on the net. it wouldnt boot. replaced mobo now im back

not showing up on the AU website. i guess we arent getting anymore 18s now

i would like to also know if win10 is still bricking m18xR2

they are awesome laptops

me personally coming from asus ROG laptops. the dell alienware are well worth their money

next time though i will go the nvidia route. 7970m xfire works great but i rather not wait 3 months for proper drivers to come out

bought it when it first came out and started using it with the 12.5 drivers

svl7 - any idea what changes were made to the bios? dell doesnt post any change log.

how much ram do you have in your m18xr2? if you have just 8gb, upgrading to the faster 1866 might be more worth your while. if your going from 1600(C11) to 1600(C9) the difference is nothing you can see.

thats impressive result for just changing that. will you be changing the thermal paste or leaving the stock dell one? just wondering if it will lower temps abit mroe then dells paste
