I just downloaded a large video file which is in RAR format. when i try to open file WinRAR says that the archive is either unknown format or damaged. is there anyway to repair this problem? any help would be great.

You can try two things here. I don't guarantee that they'll surely work, but there's no harm in trying them. The WinRAR application has two built-in features which you can use here. First, you can try to repair RAR file by using its Repair archive (Alt+R) feature. And if that doesn't work, you should use the Data Extraction feature to extract data from corrupt RAR file.

  2. If you are having corruption in your NSF database file, you can try the Fixup tool of IBM Notes to fix it. But before you can repair you file, you must know the most probable reasons which can cause corruption in your NSF database files. Read this blog post: How to Repair NSF File if it is Corrupted?

In this blog post, you'll read about NSF database corruption and how to fix it by using Fixup tool. Before you can go for any paid utility to repair NSF database, you must read this blog post once. I hope it would be helpful here.

    Thanks and best regards.
