How did you get the second advanced menu in BIOS? I have BIOS A13 and there's only 1 advanced menu?

We should follow each other's threads because I'm trying to do the same thing:
I've tried a lot of different steps already without success. So, if you have any questions, let me know.

Time to revive this thread a bit:
First of all I would like to thank all of you for your (mostly ) helpful contributions.
I'm now myself working with this topic. My graphics card broke down in my M17 R4 and I bought me a new GTX 870M.
After studying what's written here and in other forums I'm now going to flash my BIOS to the standard A11 version. After that I will let you know how it worked out and tell you something about my next steps...

I got a new GTX 860M for my M17 R4 and I've spent the past 3-4 weeks trying to get it installed properly on my machine.
I wasn't able to download any modded INF files from the custom INF thread.
So, I modded the INF files myself and I think I did it right. I've attached them if you want to try them:
I modified lines 405 & 14157. Rename the file by removing the line number in the name: nvdmi_405-14157.zip
Then replace this file: ListDevices.zip
The driver installed just fine but none of my apps are seeing the GPU. I may have done it wrong, I was just trying to figure out how to do it from all the threads I've read.
I think the missing piece to get the Nvidia working in my machine is a custom BIOS. I've tried a sh*t ton of other stuff and they all have failed.

Can you make a mod VBIOS for me too, please?
I have tried to mod my on INF and disable driver signature verification to install it. It installed fine, but none of my programs will detect it still (Photoshop CC 2015, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Rainbow 6 Seige, etc). I'm hoping a modded VBIOS will fix this?
Thank you! -
Hi, I recently bought a GTX 860m from a Clevo as well and I'm trying to install it into my Alienware m17x R4. After weeks of periodically working on this in my free time, other forum's threads have led me to this site!
The problem I'm having is that the OEM Nvidia & the Dell drivers do not see my card:
"Install Cannot Continue - The Graphics Driver Could Not Find Compatible Graphics Hardware."
I have been able to get the latest OEM Nvidia drivers to install by modifying the INF file as described in this thread:
However, even though my Windows 10 version 1511 (OS Build 10586.63) now has drivers installed, none of my programs still can't see the GPU card? I've tried Photoshop CC 2015, Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Rainbow 6 Siege, etc.
I have posted help questions on every site I can think of: Dell, Alienware, Nvidia, uPlay, Adobe, etc.
I don't really know what else to do, I've been at this for weeks and I even did a fresh install of Windows to start from a clean slate.
Thank you! I really hope this forum will finally end my long search on how to get my card working!

My question to OP is, did installing a different VBIOS allow you to install drivers without messing with any INF hacks? If so, how do you install different VBIOS?
I'm hoping that if I can install an OEM Nvidia driver from their website without hacking the INF, then my programs should be able to use the graphics card.

I feel like there's hope this time because this is the only forum that brought up VBIOS, which I have never heard about in any of the other forums.

I was able to finally get my Nvidia GPU detected by my 3D apps and games! Here are the instructions I followed:
