tried clicking on the link here and it says "access to file is restricted".

yes i see that. thats unfortunate. you can download the file i uploaded, unzip it to a folder. i also have attached a file fparts.zip which is a text document to make this usable you need to change the file extention from fparts.zip to fparts.txt ....drag and drop fparts.txt to the directory you unzipped fpt_windows64.zip and overwrite the fparts.txt file .... now open an elevated command prompt window and CD to where you unzipped the file.. ex: cd c:\windows\users\user\downloads\     ...... once you are in that location type  fptw64.exe -d BackupBiosy500.bin -bios    ....this will create your backup bios in the same directory you CD to..... it will be called backupbiosy500.bin (obviously)    congratulations you backed up your bios :)

    FPT_Windows64.zip

    fparts.zip

Create a backup of your current BIOS using the flash tool you downloaded (first step) by runing the included backup.bat, or by using the Win or Dos version flash tool with this command:

I am on windows 10 have y400 with gt750m.  I am having trouble making a backup of my current bios.  I have downloaded everything but don't have the backup.bat , and when i run the win flash tool i just get Error 200: Invalid parameter value specified by user. Use -? option to see help.   When i run the fptw64 app screen comes up says press any key to continue twice and then closes and i get that error.. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I couldnt find the backup.bat file either go here and download http://rghost.net/56333188   when you run it , it will give you two backup files, the larger one will be your bios backup.

Well, I guess I'll start posting so I can download the files! Been meaning to do this for a while, seeing now that I have the wifi card from part of a pfsense box I was building that needs to be put to use, I need to get the files. Hope the mods smile down on me and let me download in a reasonable time!

saves time to just pay the 6 bucks :)

Okay so now I'm not able to flash the vbios for my ultrabay 650m. I go through will flashing completely, but when I reboot, it is still the same. I flashed it onto Index [1] since X doesn't exist

Edit: So after reading, I learned that people were having issues with getting 0.33 to flash over 0.3a on win 8.1. I having this same issue and was wondering if there is now a fix

My apologies, i didnt go through the Vbios flash i didnt care to do. Hopefully one of these other guys on here that have are as fast at replying as myself.

  5. I actually contacted Zotac 4 different times and each time they said  Thank you for contacting ZOTAC Technical Support. Sorry, there were no shipment of "UEFI "VBIOS in this SKU [ ZT-60102-10P / GTX680-AMP ] , only "Legacy" VBIOS shipped.

No new "UEFI" VBIOS shall be generated for this SKU, since this card had EOL for a long time.

    so i guess im just S.O.L. :(

Is it just me or is backup.bat not included in these files or the ones in the FP (FPT_Windows64.zip)?

EDIT: The file on the previous page was blocked by Chrome.

EDIT2: Just thought 'whatever' and tried Internet Explorer... and now my bios is flashed :D Thanks guys!

glad all is working now. enjoy

  7. nothing interesting really here, I live in minnesota and its fricken cold ...brr.. i like to skateboard but rarely get to cause it snows all the time, the town i live in doesnt have an indoor skatepark and the rules are strict so it kindof sucks anyways.. I am a clash of clans junkie :) besides from that i basically spend time playing on my PC, and doing computer repair.

I  am not a new user (I'm promoted) and if I click on the link for the vbios:

    https://www.techinferno.com/attachments/lenovo-ibm/6933d1365968131-y500-y400-sli-650m-80.07.27.00.33-oc.rom.zip

It says "404 Not Found" Any Ideas? :/

This is very strange when i click on the link you posted it gives me a 404 error when i click on the link on page 1 it downloads the file with no issue. https://www.techinferno.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=5222   <when i click this link it downloads the file fine as well. does this link work for you?
