Hello Klem, is the original stock vbios from my K5000M required or will the modded one... Dell K5000m - 80.04.33.00.05 'OCedition' rev00.zip ...do? This is the latest one I downloaded here that has the base clocks from a GTX680. I don't need the voltage increase mod. Thanks.

That depends on your router ofcourse you won't benefit from 7260AC if you dont have an AC capable router. Make sure to also invest on a AC powered router or a dual band N router. I also suggest a usb type network adapter so that you can use it on your future laptop since mini pci is being replaced with m.2 socket wifi adapter.

I agree here, all I put in my laptops are the Intel 7260AC. It's (2x2) dual stream and dual band. It will work with the legacy B/G/N setup and have you ready for future upgrade of your router.

You should check the IP of the adapter to make sure it is in the same subnet as the router. Make sure the subnet mask it pointed to the IP of the router. If it connects to the WiFi then there's got to be something incorrect with the IP settings.

I have a question, I have cable internet, the provider supplied a router that has wireless as well. I want to run an ethernet cable from that to a second wireless router to put in my garage. Can I do this, will it even work and if so what would be the correct setup so I do not conflict with the first router?

If you are still wondering, yes. If a small setup, you can just have the second router act as a access point, otherwise you will have to do some subnetting to separate the two routers.

Hello, if I get the graphics heatsink with the pipe bridge. Will it connect to the CPU heatsink with no mods? These are the same heatsinks that can be used for the 970/980m ?

My M6700 has a 3840QM and it's already maxing out temperature wise. It can't even maintain its turbo frequencies when stressed out. Now, the Quadros certainly have a lot more potential to overclock though; better than most graphics cards.
