    Hi all!

    I have a problem.

I have bought a P751 Clevo in December with 1070GTX and 6700K and it was amazing in games staying around 70 degrees all the time on both GPU and CPU on very silent fans. The computer was basically not hearable under the speakers and very cool.

Ever since flashing the bios to Prema about a month that was provided by an official partner the temperatures began to rise and now I am at the point that on very loud fans (almost max) the both GPU and CPU go above 83 degrees celcius. I am beginning to wonder if anything is wrong or if Prema did something to the computer for some reason... I mean the temps are still ok but honestly it's just a big difference in a short time.

Nothing is overclocked and CPU is undervolted -140. I ordered the laptop with Grizzly Kryonaut thermal paste. Is it possible it already deteriorated?

Thank you for any tips and help

    Best regards

There can be many causes. I don't think Prema BIOS is problem here. Maybe some updates had changed sth on hardware lvl or paste need to be changed (how long you have it)?

Uau I see mxm is not dead at all. Any chance in the future a p170em may get an 1060/1070 upgrade bios? Would it even be compatible?

Prema already have tested 1060 in P150XX once so there might be a chance...

My new score after heatsink swap and TS usage. Temps are much better but stock BIOS/firmare is still problematic (current and power limits + my corsair 3000 mhz don't want to work properly).

  3. Well mighty Papusan great score.

I personally need something light also for work. I humbly will not compete with you because i'm Wingling not Phoenix! However i think i can get 4ghz/4.1 on CPU + 2000 or maybe 2100 mhz on GPU (will need Prema overclocking lord magics here though)

    PS

Does anyone seen good guide how to use TS because at first glance it is much more complicated than XTU.

Try using throttlestop alone to fiddle and setting current limit to 256A (I've seen some notebooks have 255A as highest; this may work too). Your CPU is throttling pretty hard though... it says 4GHz but that score should be closer to 3.4

i'm using XTU but can switch to TS if needed thanks.

    Here... http://www.3dmark.com/fs/10808163

Impressive old clevo with little Prema magic is able to beat even new MSI GT72/ASUS or very crappy Alienware 2016 with 1060 without problem...

If he made one, he never released it publicly after the incident AKAIK. If you have it, you can test by monitoring CPU frequency when both CPU and GPU are loaded.

Maybe you didn't know but some BIOS and vBIOS are available only through his partner shops (like P6XXRe/RG BIOS or 3gb 970M vBIOS).

  7. Hi there someone knows about these CPU performance in this thin clevos? I want to buy one of these with HK and push it to 4/4.1 ghz. I need thin and powerful thing so dektop P7XX are out for me and from what i see i7 6700HQ canbe limit  for1060 and 1070...

The version with 1060 looks cool enough (CPU temperature in the worst conditions)

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Schenker-XMG-P507-Clevo-P651RP6-G-Notebook-Review.172321.0.html

The thing is that this p651 still has separate CPU and GPU cooling while 1070 has a shared one. In that case i'm worried that much hotter GPU will transform more heat to CPU thus reducing overclocking capability...

So if anyone has info about RS temperatures in extreme conditions please share his/her info.

  8. Guys i have heard a rumor that clevo is thinking about MXM kits which (if they decide to make them) should be available in late September/October. What they will make different shaped pascal (like 980 which was in two variants)?

The FHD 120Hz is TN with 5ms response time...there are rumblings about an IPS alternative but haven't seen anything concrete.

Prema are you kidding about TN. Are you?

I found info that ASUS rog (so maybe clevo too) 120hz will be from AUO AHVA which is faster than IPS while having better colors than TN and being nearly as fast...

as long as AMD provides sufficient performance clevo will surely offer polaris based machines :)

Sent from my Huawei Mate 8 NXT-AL10

According to the info from videocardz it looks that polaris 10 will we able do deliver 390/390x level performance so not bad in my opinion. Meanwhile nvidia smaller pascal chips will we available probably in October or November.

  11. Hello there.

i'm new here and have one question. Can someone of you talented moders spent some of your precious time and create BIOS which removes power limitation in these laptops?

Both these have very annoying battery drain during load/gaming (AC is plugged) something 20% per hour... When only on AC 970M reduce performance (30% loss)... One guy even bought 180 watt PSU but drain still exists at the same levels... It looks that problem lies in software.
