  1. @Dschijn This really explains it all! This is awesome and all of you guys are very helpful! I'm looking up the card: SAPPHIRE R9 285 2GB GDDR5 ITX COMPACT OC Edition (UEFI) and it seems to need 500w - so I guess i'll need this http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-Watt-CX500/dp/B0092ML0MY To sum it all up i'll need: Akitio = 220$ Radeon R9 285 GPU = 240$ Molex to barrel stuff: 2pcs CCTV Video Balun 5 5x2 5mm DC Power Plug Terminals Connector Adapter Power | eBay = 2$ 5 5in PCI Express 6 Pin Male to Female Vidoe Card Power Extension Cable | eBay = 2$ PSU: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-Series-Watt-CX500/dp/B0092ML0MY = 60$ This comes up to: 524$ Which comes out right in my budget! But this is only if only the goverment doesnt catch my stuff and request more money Buying locally will also be a bit more expensive. Thanks for all the help!
  2. @Tech Inferno Fan The 970 is starting to creep out of my price range. From the guide the Sapphire Radeon R9 285 ITX COMPACT OC 2GB seems like the best option and the performance looks similar to the 960. The fact that this Radeon.shouldn't be an issue, correct? With this card I wont need to modify the case, correct? I'm having some trouble understanding the whole PSU thing. First of where does it sit? will it be out side the case? I dont seem to be able to find it any picture. And I'm having some trouble understanding how to connect it. You seem to mention molexs and barrels and I have no clue what that means. Could someone explain this in a simple way?
  3. So I should go for one the form factor cards? like this one: ASUS GTX960-MOC-2GD5 GeForce GTX 960 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Newegg.com And what do you say about this PSU: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Builder-EPS%C2%A080-certified-Power/dp/B0092ML1SC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1432140092&sr=8-2&keywords=Corsair+450W I'm still considering where to my stuff since my country has high import tax And I wanna check option that I could buy locally... Thanks a lot!
  4. So I would like to setup something similar. Currently I have a 17" Macbook pro late 2011 with i7 and 16gb ram. My goal: to run new and upcoming games on my computer (internal LCD). What would I need to buy to do this? I'm not from the US so these aren't very specific I understand I would need the following: [h=1]Akitio Thunder - so something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Akitio-AK-T2PC-TIA-AKTU-Thunder2- PCIe-Box/dp/B00LTAUTHE/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1431970734&sr=1-1&keywords=Akitio[/h] GPU - I'm thinking GTX 960 - like so: MSI GTX 960 GAMING 2G GeForce GTX 960 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 HDCP Ready SLI Support ATX Video Card - Newegg.com PSU - less sure what I need exactly - Amazon.com: Antec SL400 SmartPower 400W 20 Pin 4 Pin +12V Switching ATX Desktop Power Supply: Electronics Am I missing anything? Given I buy all this and follow through the guides it should all probably work out right?
