Just checked the voltage - and despite flashing the v bios with your latest release svl7 - it still refuses to go higher than 0.975 -i wonder if its something to do with msi afterburner -

going to try an older release

Just downloaded it - and it shows every thing , but cant find the Voltage anywhere!

Hi - The only one i can get any information from is Kombustor - in the corner it says VDDC -0 .975 c . Gpu-z doesnt show it , and i cant seem to unlock it in msi afterburner either, even thought i have altered the cfg file . Any ideas ?

Course i can svl7 - i think its there own flash - problem is i cant overclock it much as its such a low voltage

Some one on NBR recommened you actually for a better flash - for a 7970m in a HM at a slightly higher voltage - I found the link you made, but unfortunately cant download it yet , until 5 decent posts have been approved.

I don't spose you have a direct link to it , being the impatient overclocker i am ?

Just wanted to share my experience with upgrading my P150Hm from a 6990m to a 7970m.: via PC Specialist.

Any Hm users reading this , should really take the plunge !

For £312 , Uk money, you get the card, pre flashed with the Vbios to make it work on HM machines, a 2 min install (You use your pre existing Heat sink etc) , and then windows 7 fired up, installed the card automatically - and that was it!

Performance has almost doubled on some games and apps - from 3300 to nearly 6000 marks on 3d mark11 .

Because it does not have the switching abilitiy of the EM series, there is no problem with Enduro either- games run the way they should.

The card came flashed with quite a low Voltage - 0.975, compared to the usual 1.1 (i think ) in Dells and EM, but with a new flash , that should be easy to change if you are in to overclocking

Over all - really pleased with the upgrade -

I am new here but also have a p150hm - Really impressive stuff with the bios - my card arrived with only 0.975v (7970m) , which means any decent overclock is difficult. I intend to try this vbios, once i have the right permissions

Wow! Impressive I could not quite stretch to the 680m, but am happy with the 7970m performance in my p150hm - no enduro thank goodness
