My eGPU setup:

Nvidia GTX 980 Ti (reference)

Corsair VS450

AKITIO Thunder2 PCIe Box\

MacBook Pro Retina 16GB 650M.

Software:

Windows 8.1.

MSI Afterburner.

Latest Nvidia drivers.

Problem:

When i trying to play any game my external monitor goes to black screen. Sometimes it goes black when i just started the game, sometimes when i played a game for hour(less or more). I think my PSU does not give enough power to eGPU, isn't it?

I think you'll find that if you volunteer a generous amount of information about your eGPU implementation that then you may get a generous response back.

This error disappeared then i connected back fan and flashlight to akitio's motherboard. (Error 35)

Hello, I have a problem with an eGPU set up. I did everything right but in device manager i'm getting error 35. Do you now how to fix it?

How do you turn on your system?

Please try:

- turn on MB

- press and hold Alt-key

- wait for the boot chime and the selection menu

- turn on the conencted eGPU

- boot into OS

I tried, the same.

And more information: GPU got very hot in a few minutes

the situation chnged, in device manager I get error 35(it says the computer does not have enough information about this device so the device could not work properly)
