Ah sorry mate, been busy lately.

I installed the latest bios from the HP website. F.60 A15 Jan 2015.

Recently I reinstalled everything on SSD. Just to confirm that everything is as simple as plug and play.

As i said i have disabled switchable graphics from the bios so the laptop behaves more or less like it only has the Intel video. By the way i tested to swap the wireless with another brand and i had no problem with that. So you may check for whitelist.

My Intel video gets "error code 12", but i could not care less. Still before final configuration the image is displayed both on the laptop and the external monitor, but i leave the display to show only on the external monitor.

Performance is great.

I am playing Wither 3, FHD on High (not Ultra) with 24+ FPS ( i mean average 30 and it never drops below good 24 frames, no lags observed). No problems found so far. Tested the Fallout 4 ... it detected ultra settings automatically.

Have you tried with different game ? How is your performance, i am going to do this but i'm afraid

i have same notebook(4540s) with just intel hd graphics. i bought this notebook for egpu setup but i couldn't.

how did you do that ?

i tried in the past but egpu didn't appear on device manager. didn't appear on egpu setup too.

which bios are you using?

i think my bios has a whitelist. there must be a way !! we have same notebooks...

how its your gaming performance ?

you should buy nando's egpu setup. i solved my problems with egpu setup. (asus k53sv)

guys would you recommend notebook with intel hd + amd graphics card ? (with ext display)

i dont want to buy nvidia because they ruined drivers...

anyone using intel mobile cpu with amd egpu ? please post here

Thanks nando! It kinda works now, except for one annoying thing :/

My display driver keeps crashing because it stopped responding recovers soon after, which makes gaming impossible. My PSU works fine and I even tried to lower clock speed of the eGPU - it still stopped responding under load.

In 'normal' use like surfing etc I got no problem at all.

Flash your default bios. I had bluescreen too on startup. I flashed my default bios and solvedd...

I am getting ''display driver not responding....'' error. I set my GTX760 default clock speed, closed all power management setting on pc and nvidia control panel.

What should i do ? Is anyone know this situation ?

It is familier to me. at the first time installed GTX750 ti on PE4L 2.1b windows not detecting GPU, I unstalled completely onboard HD graphics card driver, so it is rebooting then came back with 2 device in device manager, I straight installed Nvidia latest drive and grab the card....my system is Lenovo T420....

Guys, i have tried a lot of times. Laptop doesnt detect any gpu, actually egpu doesnt appear in device manager. HWinfo sees my r9 270x but there is no source for working ( there is no memory adress ) when i hot plug(on sleep mode), device detected sound is heard. after 1-2 sec device removed sound ! ( doesnt appear on device manager ) ((on my exp gdc light is red))

What should i do ?

How can i activate my egpu on laptop ?

I can't disable my gt540m. I dont know how to disable it, i dont know where are those settings too.

Please make suggestions. I have read many topics but i cant do this. It is waste of time because i couldn't find how to do this.

Hi there, i have reveived my EXP GDC, connected cables, led light is red but system don't detect any device. (fans spining)

when i reboot my notebook it is freezing on asus logo.

i saw the Asus A53 on implementations list. i think both devices same. what should i do for this problem ??? sorry for my bad language.
