  1. You mentioned a server and I recently picked up one of these Lenovo servers: ASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK1 LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com I think its pretty great.

It supports RAID, however it doesn't come with any HDDs so you'd have to drop some coin on those. Its currently being used as my home media server. I host videos pictures and such.

I have had really positive experience with the Asus z97 Sabertooth. I have three media servers running them currently paired with Samsung 840 EVOs and Radeon 7990s. Not so much as a hicup in over a year of consistent use (used for graphic displays in 40-80 hour chunks ever couple of weeks).

  2. About ur Memory u shot a bit to high. 32GB of ram is way too much. U will never see the benefit of it. For gaming PC's for current games 8GB of RAM are way enough. If u plan to do some video editing or rendering u will never have enough. So it's up to u but i just wanted to mention it. On RAM the company doesn't really care in my mind. A cheap none well known RAM can outperform a CORSAIR or whatever. But also to mention Corsair Vengenace is for today a very fair, good and cheap RAM serious capable of handling 90% of PC Builder's whishes.

I disagree, after various OS tweaks, using Samsung magician with my 850EVO(which uses available ram for caching) and running a RAMdisk for temp files and VisualStudio workspaces I have completely maxed out 16GB's of RAM. I would look at the difference in price obviously, but my next build will certainly have 32GB of RAM.
