This is epic. Period. 

Finally got my colorimeter from the storage unit. I calibrated the screen and I think it might be a gamma related problem. Most of the flicker is gone in 60Hz in the test pages. There still is small flicker in some of the tests but a lot less. And I haven't noticed any flicker playing with 60Hz or less. So it doesn't bother me.

Yeah.... 20c drop. And freeze option the paste looked like arctic silver but im not sure ofc.

They replied to my mail: "120hz screen is meant to be run 120hz, if you wanted to run 60hz you should have picked a different screen."

Well. That's true to some point.. I'll assume its a LG screen, maybe it just is a screen limitation and not faulty hardware. But come on..

Repasted with gc extreme. Temps dropped to 65c stock. Wow. Just wow

Well.. i don't want to send the laptop back just because my cpu temps are 85c and a simple repaste will remedy the situation. Maybe ill just wing it

No I had black screen on reboot and youtube videos not playing kind of problems. Those vanished with reinstall and bios update. I run win 8.1.

Just got some isopropyl alcohol, now to find time to repaste the cpu.

I emailed them friday, no answer yet. I had to reinstall windows because of some other problems and updated the bios to .07.

With 347.12 drivers no change to the flicker.

edit: oh, almost forgot. I tried the pixel walk test right after installing windows, then after chipset drivers and again after vga drivers. Same flicker all the time.

Found the stick! Yay! It was in my backpack after all.

So.. there are flicker in some of the pixel walk tests at 60Hz and with 50Hz it gets worse for those tests.

I´ll hit xnotebooks with a mail. Let´s see what they answer.

Wow.. that is bad.

Sounds like a "keep the customer happy" trick and say you got something for free. Because my cpu temps are quite high. Either they did a bad pastejob or it isnt better paste.

I clearly have to repaste and seal some gaps.

And sorry I can't test further today.. i'm at work and though i have my laptop with me i cant go online because i forgot the mobile internet thingamabobstick at home

I'll check those too later today. And hit xnotebooks with mail. Between work and small twins at home my tweaking time is really limited just got my windows together yesterday evening. Still a lot to do!

Have to say it's a shame you've got a bad experience with them.. they have been really nice and I even got the freeze option for free.

Except with a quick xtu run my stock cpu temps are at 85c.. so i think i need to repaste.

Flicker at 60Hz in the upper part of the gray area in the unigine-page. No flicker in pixel walk. With 120Hz no flicker at all. Tested with IExplorer and Chrome.

edit: same results with SLI off.

I've understood that almost all clevo heatsinks are a bit uneven and can cause temps to rise. (Correct me if im wrong ) Some have lapped the heatsinks and some get by by using thicker thermal paste.

I think that your cpu temp in clevo might be a tad lower if you are running stock setup. Try to elevate the laptop a bit. Place something under the feet so it gets more air.

I have a machine with same setup coming from xnotebooks this week. I can check if I notice any flicker. This interests me too

I struggled with the same problem but then decided to cough up a little extra and order the notebook from xnotebooks.com to get the 120hz screen. Btw have you tried them? I think they are the only ones offering a 120hz option. Or mail to rjtech?
