Just wanted to let everyone know that Eurocom has drivers for Alienware 17/18 for the 9xxm series.

Testing them for 980m + AW18 right now.

Also Alienware release their *NEW* systems with the 900m series. They are not the same as the current set. theres a 13, 15, and a 17. NO 18

Is Ram clocked at 2133hz worth the upgrade over 1333hz?

by that I mean is there a noticeable difference between the two.

for example a "noticeable difference" would be the difference between a good SSD and a mechanical HDD.

If you decide to install the 980ms into the AW18 let us know about your experience doing it.

I contacted the seller and they allowed me return it. Yea, I will probably keep looking around for a reasonable price. there wasn't much info on the auction just said It was used and in working condition.

I just bought a 4GB GTX 880m off eBay. It has engineering revision Vbios that shows every time I restart my AW18.

Not sure what to make of it. After I installed it into my AW18 and reinstalled GeForce driver it caused all sorts of artifacts.

But it is fine if the GeForce drivers are not installed. I am currently reinstalling W8.1 to see if that fixes the problem.

Anyone have any ideas either in general about the card or the current issues it is causing?
