As I said, you need to disable driver signing first.
yeah I did that, tried it again just to be sure, and got the same result :/
-
- Win8 -> Disable driver signing.
- Download Geforce 344.80 Beta
- Extract driver with 7-Zip -> Extract to "344.80-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql"
- Display.Driver folder -> copy/overwrite nvdmi.inf (unzip).
- Extracted driver folder -> run setup.exe
Safe to delete. My driver folder.

Ok used DDU to remove the driver, extracted the new one and deleted Display.NView Display.Update and Display.Optimus, but could´nt find NVWMI , copy/pasted nvdmi and startet setup , but failed to install :/

Thanks for the quick answer,
caused two new ones, the first with the posts , just five posts , excluding spamming of course , or the membership what i prefer atm , because im not that into forums, mainly because im not that confident in writing english.
and the second one , i just have to repeat the progress with the driver you are refering to and remove the other one i installed?

Hey J95,
I hope you can help me out, I upgraded my m17x r3 (win8.1) with a 680m and modded the 344.75 driver, disabled the driver signing via cmd and installed the driver ( was asked if I want to install it, pressed yes) then rebooted and got a blackscreen.
So I disabled the IGP and set display to PEG, and now I am here.
Device manager displays my GPU as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter and the id changed.
