Normal would work just fine. I'm using the same for a year now. Best wifi card i've used so far. Best part, it even works on mac OSX.

Finally received it today, but when i mounted it I got the message:

"Unautorized wireless network card is plugged in. power off and remove it".

I'm gonna install the modded bios as soon as the link is back up online!

  2. On AC, peak power consumption of my laptop under heavy load was more than 140W, and that was just with single gpu (measured with socket watt-meter). This would kill the battery (and maybe also you, if the battery exploded). So no, you can't unlock gpu on battery, it's hardware protection, deal with it.

Ok, thanks for your answer! Is it possible to select from normal BIOS to use the integrated video card? And will that be locked too?

  3. No, the battery just cannot supply enough power to GPU at full speed. It's hardware limitation and it cannot be disabled in any way. This limitation was present in every single laptop with powerful nvidia card that I've had. Only thing you can do on battery power is to disable discrete graphics altogether and use only integrated GPU, which is faster than slowed down nvidia GPU.

    Thank you for yours reply.

Is that a settings i can change even in the normal BIOS or i still need the unlocked on?

  4. I dont see any options to unlock GPU on battery power(I have unlocked bios). Anyone know how to do this ?

Second question - Should i flash ultrabay GPU? I unlocked bios yesterday but i didnt flash ultrabay GPU. What it gives for me ?

I'm not sure, but everytime i do anything without the AC power, the GPU clock is stack to 135MHz (if i remember correctly).

Is there any other way to prevent this? I read somewhere it should be a setting in the BIOS
