  1. I am going to upgrade my ram and would like to know what is the top of the line. I have looked into the corsair vengeance and it looks very good. It has cas 9 timing 9-9-9-24. Is the best out there? Application will be for future overclocking. Also can anyone verify a higher speed then 1600 MHz working on the R4.

Yes, it´s no problem to run faster memory.I use 8 GB Hyper X 1866 in Dual Channel mode and it´s just plug and play. You don´t need to tweak anything in the bios.

The Hyper X has cas timing 11-11-11-32 at 931,3 Mhz shown in HWInfo.Great!:Banane55:

  2. Nope, as already stated several times, once you're on one of the newer bios version you won't be able to flash a modified version anymore. You can go back using the recovery method... it seems to work for some, but not for all.

Or you can contact me if you want to test something else.

Can someone tell me what is different between the A08 and A09 Bios?

    Thanks

  3. Unlocked A08 added to the first post, it will take a while until it is ready on the server, T|I users can grab the attachement so they don't need to wait.

Please let me know how it goes, menus should show up just as in the previous modified BIOS, but I still don't have access to a system to test it myself.

    It works great svl7:Banane49:

    Thank you so much again!

  4. Hi there,

I want to flash my bios to this unlocked one but what features would the average user use? Can this bios allow overclock of the i7 3720qm? or ram? stuff like that. Thanks!

Yes you can overclock with a05 unlocked, but with the stock bios too.

Go to Advanced/Performance Option/Overclocking Feature Enable/Extreme Edition Enabled and than use Level 1-3 oveclocking

or change the Core Ratio Limits by yourself.F10 Save and Exit that´s all.I use 38/37/36/36 and it works fine.

    Have fun:highly_amused:

  6. Your GPU has to work dead stable at 850/1250, everything else isn't guaranteed, any possible overclock can be seen as a kind of "bonus". More voltage won't necessarily help, especially not if the quality of the asic is low.

What kind of notebook do you use?

I have the M17xR4 Bios A04 with i7-3720qm and using the stock Dell driver. The asic quality is shown with 82.8%

Now i use your modified vbios stock voltage 925/1300 Mhz.

Everything seems stable and works great with this clocks.

But 935 Mhz core clock is the maximum,my Vram goes up to 1675 mhz in 3dMark11.

Thank you for the modded Bios.

Bye the way i can´t download the vbios patcher

  7. anyway i can get just a 1.75v or 1.25v vbios with stock clocks?

    Hello guys,

i had flashed the 1.075v and 1.100v modded bios.

It seems that don´t give me more overclocking possibility!!!!

My max overclocking with stock voltage is 930 Mhz in 3dMark11 and with

the modded vbios i can´t go even higher!!!!

What is wrong with my hd 7970m??????

    Did somebody have an idea?

    Thanks
