I purchased the Helios for 350USD from B&H back on 01/18/2013 so it is still under warranty. I've only used it for about 2 weeks and it has been sitting in a corner collecting dust ever since. This is basically a perfect setup for any SB/IVB Macbook owners who want to run bootcamp as I'm including everything you need for the setup, you just need to connect a few wires to an external PSU and you're set.

I didn't want to include any pictures in this post as they'll take up space but I'll be glad to provide pics via PM.

*Edit - Forgot to mention that I originally ran this with a 2012 rMBP 15" on Win7.

Wich GPU did you use?

I have 2012 non retina MBP so your setup will work under bootcamp WIN 7?

Cant work on 2012 mid rMBP 15" with 650M, because 2012 mid rmbp cant fully support EFI windows 8 installation. When you install nvidia driver in EFI windows 8 will blue screen.........Maybe need DIY egpu 1.3 in bootcamp mode , But I cant succeed in this..

I'm planing to use current BIOS WIN7 install and my is not retina MBP but its the same model with 650m 1GB.

What do I need for AKiTiO GTX 660 to work under bootcamp.

I have Macbook Pro 15 (mid 2012) HiRes, i7 2,6GHz, 16GB, 2xSSD, GPU 650m 1GB, OSX 10.9.4 & Win7 64 Bootcamp and I live in Europe - Croatia.

Please can You suggest best & cheap components for external GPU GTX660 or GTX560.

I can buy GPU in Croatia probably used one, but what parts can I buy that can ship to Croatia for eGPU?
