  1. You have the latest BIOS, there is a newer EC. Both Mod & Stock versions are in the OP. If Stock doesn't fix the problem, then try to play with Turbo settings in Mod BIOS. Clevo has a bit of a messy ACPI code...

I sent the laptop back to Metabox and they are working on it now. Trying to find out why and hopefully they can fix it.

What I am guessing is that the problem comes from the stock BIOS. Since I bought this laptop for only one month, I will stay with the stock BIOS. And for sure, when I have better knowledge to the Clevo laptop, I will go for the mod BIOS :very_drunk:

Besides, I am so sure your friend will get better soon! A great support from me.

  2. Make sure to use the latest BIOS/EC alongside the latest Clevo Hot Key App in a non-power-saving mode:

    Hi Prema,

What is the latest BIOS & EC version for P157SM-A? I am using 1.03.03 for both BIOS & EC.

Besides, I've just updated the Hot Key App to 2.31.42 (from the link you've given - Clevo website).

The turbo boost is still not working.

And, at the mean time, Metabox is also trying to find out why it doesn't work.

  3. I don't know whether there is such a change in the technical side, but I literally never heard a max fans till the time I maxed them out on prema bios during stress tests (temperatures were around 80 degrees).

I was mistaken. That wasn't the full speed of my fan. :apologetic: my bad

  4. Thanks for the work there, svl7. I've got a few questions about flashing the vbios. Really appreciate if someone can help me with that.

    1. Does the 870M modded vbios use the stock settings (voltage, GPU clock & Memory clock), and disable the GPU Boost?

    2. If a bad vbios flash occurs, would my Clevo P157SM still be able to boot up with the iGPU and allows me to flash the stock vbios that I have backed up? (Unless the bios itself has defects and cannot boot up with the iGPU. And in this case, the only option is to have RMA. Am I correct about this?)

  5. Have been waiting for GTA V for so long as I don't have any console....

Made an order of a new Clevo laptop just a few days before the GTA V PC announcement. Hopefully, the GTA V works fine with the PC, unlike the GTA IV :06:
