Hello again everyone

I recently decided to give eGpu a try. It's a nVidia gtx460 768 MB with an Exp Gdc 6.0 adapter. I've set everything up last night but unfortunately encountered a few problems. It doesn't work with the ExpressCard port set to Generation 2 and doesn't work when the laptop is connected to a docking station. Setting it up was pretty much plug and play, first the card was recognised by Windows as a standard VGA card. After installing the drivers it showed up as it is. I turned off the nVidia audio. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello everyone again. I have a few questions and observations to share with You. I was recently wondering if there's a way to improve the light that's supposed to light the keyboard. How does it work in your laptops? In mine when i turn it on, i can barely notice any difference. Also i've recently replaced the dvd with a second hard drive and i noticed that windows takes longer to boot now, not much longer but i noticed it. Another thing, i recently added a second 8GB memory module and the windows index for graphics went up from 5.5 to 6.6. I didn't notice any difference but i rarely play any games. And finally HWinfo shows my CPU actually reaching the maximum 3.7 GHz. Don't know what's up with that.

Ok, here's the data i gathered from tsBench: After x31 nothing changes so i just skipped it. Seems i've got the worst chip of all. :(

Thanks again for all the information. I'm gonna stick with it for now. I will make that report and post it tonight (my timezone ). Should I post entire logs? If not, which VID/TDP value should i choose? Highest TDP per multiplier?

Thanks for the info. Changing the power settings don't make a difference. I don't know which version it is, how can i check this? It's been taken out from a lenovo laptop so would that make it OEM?

I have the HD4000 installed. By 'maximum battery' you mean 'power saver'? I'm also connected to a docking station and didn't think that could make a difference but actually it covers the vents a bit. It doesn't pull back to x31, it moves up in the first 10 seconds of the run and than settles at x31. Here's the link to the log file of the two runs i did.

I recently installed an i7-3820QM. Today i ran Throttlestop and it wouldn't go above x31 (from the start) even though i set the multiplier to the maximum X37. Why is that?
