the original bios does not have configuration for raid. So you do need the whitelist for the 2nd ssd

First off, Thanks for the post. unfortunately I am unable to download due to min. post requirements. Just wanted to let you know that if you call Lenovo, you can actually speak with a person that has some sense. You can get recovery disk sent to you for free if you talk to the warranty dept. Everyone else will tell you that you have to purchase it for about 60 bucks with support or 40 bucks with out. Hope anyone reading this gets as lucky as I did. It was a pain in the ass to get that far. I recently upgraded to an SSD However, the migration software failed to copy all the partitions one of said partitions being the recovery. Best of luck

If your unit is under warranty. Just like all of us, that screw up on the backup image and can't not reload window 8.1 with the key.

can air are bad. any technician would know by now, Can air dry out the bearing on the fan, which cause the fan on the gpu or cpu to die out. Never used can air.

must have product if you're a I. T guy 100 time better then can air.

just put back everything the way it is. Send it in for repair. Unit has no power.

They repair the motherboard. Fix issue resolved. This company is anal about replacing the motherboard. Only company that I know, you will need to fight for a brand item to be replace.

You can use the RETAIL (no volume copy VL) windows 8.1 iso to do a clean install...just choose the version of your pc came with(core edition) at OS selection window during installation..

note:if your pc comes with swedish language maybe you should find an iso with that language support if english iso not works

note2:i suggest you to download all of the windows 8.1 drivers from lenovo site before installing windows 8.1 if you dont have the latest

what do you mean? so I can get a 8.1 disc install it, it will recognize my original product key inside my machine? We are all having same problem.
