  1. I did not realise that was you, nor did I realise we are of the same nationality

also since I'm planning on doing one myself.... is it possible for you to walk me through the necessary steps to get the GPU working? I suppose the unlocked 10U BIOS from that forum works just a driver and vbios mod.... right?

Bios is the point. Now I'm looking for a way to get 7970m working in GT70.

  2. 780m is confirmed working on the 1762

    1762

chinese link, but I guess you can take it to be working with windows 7 and the vbios as stated on the photo

    vbios: 80.04.97.00.04, driver version 320.18

however there is no indication showing if gpu boost is working

    The link is my test.

  3. Thanks for the feedback katant, shame it does not work :( (and odd because it does OK on 16F3)

Hi, pau1ow, what version of the bios is your 16F3, I may try to flash the 16F3 bios in my GT70 and see if it works.

  4. No good. I tried 770m in GT70 too, it is same BS "0x00000116".

I guess the 7XXm will not work in 1762/16F3.

BTW, the 770m works very smooth in my gt780/1761, and I tried overclock, 980/1100 3DMARK 11 is P5864.

    you can post screen????????????????????????

My test please refer to GTX 770m

  5. Hi fatant :)

The 780M I got is a Clevo gpu - but we all know Clevo/MSI GPUs were pretty similar since the 680M, and vbios interchangeable.

To make it work fully in the GT60, I flashed it with the MSI vbios (this enabled the Turbo Boost 2.0 and allowed O/Cing) - it worked fine with the Clevo vbios, however I did not have any TB or OC options.

Regarding the MSI vbios I am using, please drop a message to Prema - he is the only one that can sort you out - and hopefully make it work in your system - version is: 80.04.97.00.04 - apparently later version than yours.

    Good luck!

Thank you Pau1ow. I sent my vbios to Prema, hope he can receive soon.

  6. Hi pau1ow,

The 780m you install in GT70 is MSI or DELL?

The driver 320.14 is desktop or notebook version? The test is in Win7, right?

I noticed your 780m vbios version is 80.04.79.00.02, mine is 80.04.90.00.01. Could you dump your bios for me to try?

With many thanks for your help!

hmmmm strange! I have tried the 780M in my 16F2 (barebone GT680) and no post!

    Is 770M similar to 675MX ? Mine got pushed to 1130/1050 -> 6500 3dmark11

I tested 770m in 1761, it is totally same as 670mx.

  7. Any good fatant ?

  8. Yep fatant,

I've got the 780M installed in my GT60 currently, and at the moment, only the 320.14 drivers work out with the optimus switch - just need them and here you go. Obviously still cannot manually software overclock :)

Clevo, MSI vbioses work fine too.

Also make sure you totally clean both HD4000 and 780M drivers before installing any drivers - ideally a fresh W7 installation needs to be done.

edit: did you make it work (gaming, benching) at least once with any drivers ?

Hi pau1ow, I also tried 320.14 with HW ID modified, It still is blue screen. Could you let me know how did you do on your GT60, maybe something i did wrong/missing.

    I tried 311.27 320.14 320.18 clevo311.44, none of them works fine.

BTW, could you give me a download link for the 320.14 you tried ? Many thanks!

    Edit: MS-1762 GT70

  9. Hi all,

Thanks for Luoxia posted the pics.

This card is mine, and I tested it on my 1762 in win7.

Now I can install 311.27 driver which is from ASUS, but when switching to 780m, it comes blue screen "0x0000016" .

    Anyone can help me?

  10. I have a 16F3 whitebook with GT60 unlocked bios .30m, everything works fine.

I tried the DELL 7970m on my 16F3, it doesn't work. I wonder if the IGPU can be disabled like 16F2.
