The build quality of the Alienwares are atleast one step ahead of the competition, sure it comes with a price but if you can afford it then they are really woth it imo.
I´ve tried and owned an MSI gaming laptop and an Asus one before I bought my first Alienware, an m17x R4.
The difference is huge, the quality feeling and build quality is superb on the Alienware, just this week I upgraded myself to the Alienware 18 and I say I´m NOT regreting it!
Sure it is huge and weights a tonne, but the feeling and perforemance in gaming is excellent.
If you are also in to OC then maybe the Clevo is a better choise due to Dell´s abit scetchy Bios limitations but if gaming is your thing go Alienware, you will not be dissapointed.

My vote goes with a matte finish. I think glossy screens tend to have better color, but they are completely useless in a well lit environment and this enrages me.
I´m feeling the same, the colors on a glossy feels more vibrant and clear.
But in anything else then a pitch dark room all those reflections will put me off so my vote needs to go to the matte screens.

If someone likes MMO´s and not tried Wildstar I can recomend it.
It´s not for all the casual wow lovers, who are used to get free stuff just for logging in.
This require you to play and pay attetion to the game, or you will surely get an hefty repair bill.

So Joseph0042, what was the configuration of the AW18 you purchased? SLI 780m, 880m or something else ?
Also do you intend to use it as an OC machine or just a gaming monster ?
