  1. I have been looking for a wireless backlit keyboard. The Logitech K800, K810, K830 surely are excellent options; however, I am not comfortable spending eighty plus dollars on a keyboard.

Less than a handful of alternatives were found on Amazon, such as Azio, Ivation, Perixx, SHARKK (alphabetical order), in the proximity of thirty-five bucks. Among them, Periboard 808 is the newest model, so I decided to give it a try.

    Some pictures:

    Pros:

    - Huge battery capacity, 1900mAh. I have been using it at full brightness for 2 weeks without recharging (3hr on weekday, 8hr on weekend).

    - Thin and lightweight

    - Signal range > 12 meter, within line-of-sight. So far no experience on connection or character lost, on android or PC.

    Cons:

    - Plastic build. ( Check out SHARKK if you want metallic build)

    - Light leakage at the edges of keys, a lot.

  2. From the webpage of M17X R4:

3D capability puts you in the middle of the action.

Immerse yourself in your games and absorb every detail with an optional 17.3” 1080p Full HD WLED display. Or select the 120Hz 3D LCD for smooth visuals and stereoscopic NVIDIA 3D Vision capabilities(1), so you won’t simply watch the action – you’ll be right in the middle of it. After the dust settles, trade war stories with your friends face to face on your top-mounted HD webcam.

    (1) 3D viewing requires NVIDIA graphics card, plus NVIDIA 3DTV Play software, a NVIDIA compliant 3D TV with 3D glasses, compatible media and HDMI cable, all sold separately.

The caption says you also need to get the 3D glasses and 3DTV Play software, maybe that is the solution.

  3. I will recommend Logitech K810 for Windows and K811 for Mac. They both have proximity sensors that detect closing in hands and automatically light up the keys, and turn off in idle. The only draw back is that they are bluetooth based (although you may consider it as a pro if you intent to used it on phones and tablets as well) and don't come with a numpad (also may be considered as a pro for size reduction). If budget is of no concern, you may even try the newly released K830, with a touchpad assembled on the left side.

I only recommended logitech because those three were the only trustworthy wireless backlit keyboards, other brands' products reportedly suffers low battery capacity (3-hour use time was reported) and bad connection (Delayed response, random disconnection, re-pairing of bluetooth link every time after resuming from idle status etc...).

Me myself recently ordered a periboard 808 from Taobao (Chinese version of Ebay+Amazon), a new model just released by Perixx. It is 1/3 of the logitech's price, but with no customer feedback or reviews available yet. I am going to post about it later this week once the shipment arrives.
