  1. does anyone know how to flash a bios when nvflash says "NO NVIDIA ADAPTERS FOUND"?

just installed a gtx 675mx in my new P170SM, it says unknown in the bios but is detected / working in windows.

i downloaded a clevo bios but can't flash it as it keeps saying no adapters found.

  2. Check the vbios before , because if it's the newer one you need to flash the qhd verison

I reflashed and now the intel overclocking section works, the dGPU ASPM is stil not working though, laptop switches off and reboots if I open the nvidia control panel and click on the window with the global settings, sometimes it switches off and reboots if i open device manger, first the mouse goes all stuttery before the machine shuts of and then restarts.

as soon as I turn off the ASPM under dGPU everything is fine, the first link state option works but the 2nd one doesn't, that cause the system crash.

did a bit of research and found Poll: does PCI-E ASPM work for you? - nV News Forums

it seems it's disabled / hidden in many bios because it can cause instability / be buggy, doesn't work for everyone. so that's made me feel better now.

  3. hi, i have a w230ss and it's flashed with the prima bios.

has this caused the intel xtu to be incompatible now? because i see other users who are using the app with no issues, but it doesn't start for me. just stops at the splas screen saying another performance tuning app may be running, but there isn't.

  4. i left a message on the notebookreview forums but since this official for your mods i'll post it here too.

i replaced my w230st with a w230ss due to a unrelated prob. (nothing to do with the bios)

anyway the dGPU - ASPM feature worked on the w230st but doesn't on the w230ss. the laptop fails to shutdown properly.

the screen goes off likes it's shutting down and then it just hangs with a lit keyboard and power button, eventually the fan spins up again if you leave the machine and then come back expecting it to be off.

any idea if this cam be fixed? i've disabled it for now and the laptop shuts down correctly.
