i use liquid soap (really ) and underclock my GFX, worked fine 1 week (some peek at 94°C GPU) and finally a received my AS 5, i now run with 100% charge on GPU clock to stock mod => at 75°C max yeahh !

do you think i can go for SLI ? with 2 780m ? got 330w AC

i don't have access to thermal paste where i'm, is it 100% obligated to repaste with new paste if i unplug card/procc ? i wont over-clock after of course and i wont use at full capacity ..

hi mihaimoga is there a limit also for GPU ? i have a I7-2630QM 2Ghz for CPU, is this one still enough ?

Thank for you great tutorial, i may hav to open mine, i worried that my GPU card has moved during travel, i travel a lot, and since the last departure my GPU is not detected anymore, maybe the GPU card move or something like that due to small frequent vibrations (rolling case in airport etc etc )?

Do you think this is something possible or that GPU are way too lock to move ?

I may have to upgrade also because my GPU is not detected anymore, is it better to upgrade an old m18xR1 or directly buy the new last one ? in another word : is the difference between the old and new version are really interesting ?

Firstly sorry for my bad English, i will try to do my best.

I bought like almost 3 year ago an M18xR1 (3228) that was working fine till 1 week, after playing diablo III without problems during 1 week the bios stop recognize my 6970m crossfire, i'm on the integrated HD 3000 right now, i can do internet stuff and vidéo but no more game... (a shame for that kind of computer)

During that last week i have try everything i know/could (reinstall every driver/format/flashing bios etc etc ) except unplug re-seat GPU (i'm in costa rica right know and i don't have the proper tools etc etc)

My last attempt before change laptop will be to use unlocked A05 bios to change from SG to PEG mode in it.

So wich me luck as soon as i get the unlocked A05

Ok, so SG or PEG didn't change anything, so i opted for total teardown of my M18X, finaly after switching card and isolate them it appear that GPU1 was dead, so i switch GPU2 with the heat sink of GPU1 in the first slot, and now everything work fine.. i need upgrade my crossfire !
