Sounds like a CPU failure to me rather than a full on Brick. I don't know if it will help but have you tried disassembling and reassembling it. I had a similar problem so I just disassembled my system to the component level, cleaned everything just for the heck of it and reseated everything carefully and bam, the system was back to life

Most top-of-the-line processors are used solely for overclocking. Unless you are mad about benching I wouldn't consider it an effective investment. I'd much rather spend that money on a GPU

^ This. It's a personal thing I guess. Added to that, I can also put on a temporary matte cover on it when I'm at work so I get the full fidelity when I play

Hi there,
I recently discovered a way to overclock my display to run at 100Hz stable and was wondering if I can run 3D vision on it. Has anyone tried this?

17mm screws sound like the display screws. The " I " screws are the general ones and around 10mm at most if I remember correctly

So I just overwrite it?

Is there any way to underclock these cards. I will temporarily run this with a 75w heatsink so I was wondering if I can do anything about it

Interesting. I wonder if we require BIOS flashes to get these to work

Sounds like he's not hitting the targeted clock speed when running a game in fullscreen. I might be completely wrong but perhaps "running as administrator" might help. Again, I don't know much about these things. I do however, hope you'd use HWmonitor or GPUz in the background as they have a time-based graph of your clockspeed.
Hope this helps
