You should be very careful on choosing a wireless card replacement for Y510P.

Whitelist of the bios will keep you from using card not authorized by Lenovo like a killer 1202.

However, a modded bios will allow you to install whatever card you like to.

I got my 256 samsung evo with $120 on rakuten. It's a sweet SSD and is suggested.

Just go with big brands like sandisk intel samsun and you should be fine.

Soldering sounds always risky unless your are experienced in computer assembling/ or fixing.

And are you sure another graphic card can be installed in that SSD slot?

Many thanks to op and svl7, I'm also seeking a solution to replace the wireless card of my 510p.

I'm originally on a 3.05 and souds like the only solution now is to downgrade and wipe the whitelist.
