Hi all,

I have a big problem. I decided to do clean windows install and then things gone wrong. I tried to install windows 10 and my laptop just boots into white screen and after some time I can hear a beep. Tried to install my old OS windows 7 have same issue.

I had to swap my old graphics card I had radeon 6990m. Now I have geforce 780m everything was working fine until I have decided to do clean install. When I upgraded from Windows 10 from windows 7 everything was ok. But I have decided to do clean install. Now I cant even install my old operating system. I tried to remove my video card and use integrated and that works fine but when I put my primary card Geforce 780m I boot into white screen with a beep.

Can someone help me please?

Thats not only white screen but black and sometimes random colour and it seems like its stuck in restart loop. I have checked my bios it doesnt have an option to disable safe boot and its a newest unlocked a12 bios from tech.

Ok so I have upgraded my alienware m17x r3 CPU from 2670qm to 2960xm have flashed a12 with unlocked bios, eanbled Overcloking and Overiding in bios but still cant see multipliers for Cores and intel XTU manual tuning is grey what did I missed please help me. Thanks.

Hi, I cant find an bios editor for this card tried Kepler editor, Nibitor they cant read my saved bios file any ideas why?

I had the same GPU as you and upgraded to gtx 780m its realy easy to install it if you have alienware laptop.

Was this a warranty issue or are you upgrading on your own? I'd be interested in doing this as well.

I'm upgrading on my own. Don't know why but my 6990m got toasted temps never went higher then 83C ;/

have the alienware m17xr3 for a 2 years now no problem since just upgraded my GPU to gtx 780m from ati radeon 6990m so happy now

hello, guys I just cant find (or I dont know how) what additional things do I need to have to install 780m in my alienware m17xr3 with currently broken ATI Radeon 6990m GPU. Is heatsink gona be ok? Or I need a new one? Is there any diference between ati heatsink and NVIDIA?
