This mean the AMD Chip can only work with PCI-e 2.0 x8.

If the Wlan fully work on Linux, yea it´s a driver issue under Windows ;-)

Ok i don't know if it work on GX60 1AC.

But on GX60 3BE i know from a German User that he changed the WiFi Modul to the Killer.

i know from some people that there changed the Wireless Adapter to the Bigfoot Killer Wireless N 1202

And the Bigfoot Killer support dual-band too!?

can you Mod the 8970m Bios from my MSI GX60?

Bios Version: 015.033.000.000.044392 (BR44392.004)

Can you set the GPU Clock to 1048MHz (stock 950Mhz) and the Voltage 0,025v higher.

Backup Bios with GPU-Z: 8970mbios.rom.txt

For save here is my orig 8970m Bios that i backup from DOS atiflash:

I tried to disabled the ULPS and set the gpu clock to 950mhz with afterburner.

Now the GPU run always with 950mhz without go down in idle.

But GPU-z show pcie 2.0 x 8

is it normal that the GX60 with the 8970m only run with PCIe 2.0 x8 ??

Can i flash my bios with the SecondGenAMDAPU.zip ?

Can you tell me what the "SecondGenAMDAPU.zip"does?

Or is it the newest Bios from the MSI Page?

I have the GX60 with A10-5750 and 8970m.

Now i tried to OC the 8970.

I disabled ULPS in Windows Reg. and now work MSI Afterburner.

Here my normal stock Benches before disabled ULPS and use Afterburner:

But after i use MSI Afterburner with the stock 950MHz GPU , GPU-z shows always 950MHz, it stays now on 950 and don´t drop to 300 without load.

And now in Furmark my FPS jump from 44 to 68

Whats this??

Same MHz but 24FPS more ??

I don't understand why?

And In 3DMark are all normal!

No more FPS or Points like stock.
