He has no iGPU. His system has only a dGPU so can't disable it. Means too no Optimus x1 pci-e compression either. He'll get pretty poor performance. Better to upgrade to a eGPU candidate in my sig to get x1.2Opt much better performance.
Wait, I have an i7-620m processor. The ark.intel.com page says it has Intel HD Graphics. Shouldn't that mean I have an iGPU? I'm getting confused.

So I have a Sony Vaio VPCS129GC with a nVidia 310m. I've been trying to get a GTX 660 eGPU to work with it, but it only uses the dGPU. I've read the section in the FAQ about getting two nVidia cards to work together, and am a bit confused. Could someone explain it to me in more detail please?

Right, so I recently got a HP Elitebook 2570p, and I'm now attempting to get an egpu working on it. However, when I plug in my expresscard, nothing happens. I've tried the things listed in the faq to no avail. I've also tested the graphics card and it works fine. Here's my setup:
PE4L v2.1b
HP Elitebook 2570p
EVGA GTX 480
Corsair CX600 PSU
Some help please?
