FYI, this sleeve fits the Y500 like a glove... 16

I went to Microcenter and took my laptop with me, went through each case to find the "best fit". This one was it. I also have a Logitech Universal wireless receiver plugged in, and this sleeve still fits.

Highly recommended. I can also fit the laptop inside my Targus 15.6" or 16" backpack while inside this sleeve.

I put a Plextor PX-128 M5M SSD in the empty mSATA slot and kept the factory Samsung 1TB as a data drive. Couldn't be happier with this config. Boots within 15 seconds, screams in Windows.
