For my Dell Precision M6600 17" I am using Targus TCB001EU backpack. It's really solid and nice finish. And not very expensive.

As I know the most powerful and working option nowadays for M6600 is K5000M or 680M.

Unlocked M6600/M6700 BIOS could be great advantage.
But stock 2960XM is pushing M6600 to the limit with 92*C in stress load. Is CPU overclocking still possible with such high temps?

First of all thanks for great job with vBios mods.
I see that You made unlocked vBios
(Dell) K5000m - 80.04.33.00.35 - 'OCedition' -> higher software overclocking limit, stock 3d clocks 758MHzBut this K5000M Dell Bios is old, Dell relased newer version and fix some problems in Precision M6600/M6700:
80.04.33.00.35 - Original release
80.04.5A.00.05 - Updated vBIOS that works with legacy option ROMs disabled (required to enable secure boot for Windows 8
Could you please modify this newest vBios?
The best for testing will be unlock this vBios in 3 versions:
rev 01: stock voltages, stock clocks, + unlock overclocking limit
rev 02: bit higher 3d voltage, stock clocks, + unlock overclocking limit
rev 03: much higher 3d voltage, stock clocks, + unlock overclocking limit
Thanks in advance.

M6600 firepro m8900 vbios flash to 6970M
in Dell Latitude, Vostro, and Precision
Posted
Sorry for posting in old thread but I see no reason of that flash. I am owner of Precision M6600 with FirePro 8900M. This card is working as you wish: you can install FirePro drives if working with CAD/Video/render software or you can install Catalyst drivers for gaming. Overcklocking with Saphire Trixx software is piece of cake.
