  1. Im playing lol 120hz with 780m sli and I get some flickering, but it is different than the videos you are showing. It feels like the screen turns of for less than a second, like a flash... will the vbios work with this problem too?

I believe it will fix your issue. I used to see this issue with new nvidia drivers where many times the screen will not flicker but used to go blank for short durations ... like half a second or so with many times the screen locking up also. After flashing with this vbios both the flickering and this issue were gone. You can always save the old vbios just in case if this does not fix your issue and rollback when desired.

I am really thankful for svl7 for the solution otherwise 120HZ gameplay in sli was almost impossible for such a price of this laptop.

  2. With gaming, the max I saw was 85 c and furmark fr the benchmark was 93 c

    At idle I look at 25c to 35 c

No cooler, just sitting on a table top. I have it slightly tilted in the back to add to the ergonomics of the keyboard and to add elevation for the notebook to breathe.

Honestly I have not seen a increase in temps from the stock vbios and the oc'ed one.

I can tell you that my bitcoin mining from the stock to the oc has increased by +/- 7%

Thanks so much man. So seems like you temps are same as mine. I was bit alarmed when I saw those Furmark temperatures, If I keep the fan on turbo then my temps do drop and are around 89-90c for first gpu and 84-85 c for second one.

FYI I did created my profiles with a slightly undervolted and core clock set at 812 MHz and then with fans my furmark temperatures dropped to 87c and 82 c (1st and 2nd gpu). Thought of sharing that information. I am planning to use that most of the times as many of the games are not demanding and will only use the default or overclocked when required.

  3. Hi Guys ... I received my np9380-s from xotic pc last weekend ... and yesterday I turned the 120 Hz in sli mode while playing crysis 3 and started getting flickering problems. Searching over internet brought me over this website and I am glad that we have a proven fix for the problem. However because of restriction on minimum number of posts I was not able to test the fix. I will probably go ahead and flash the vbios once I get to the minimum number of posts ... however I wanted to share that in the interim I tried something which helped me ... I went ahead and press fn + 1 to switch fans to max speed and it helped me. I continued playing for next 2 hours and did not find that issue to reappear.

Just wanted to share my results with everyone ... not sure if it helps but maybe people like me who are waiting to reach to minimum number of posts can see if it helps them or not.

Also I will submit a request ticket with xotic pc to increase the count to existing number of voices for the issue.
