Is the 7260 AC a lot better than the factor card?
Absolutely. The default stock card is generally an Intel 2230, which is not only a crappy card, but only supports single band (2.4GHz) wireless N. The Intel 7260 works much better and supports dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) as well as wireless AC in addition to wireless N.

What is the advantage of using expresscache if you are running windows from an ssd?
There isn't one. If you are already booting from a SSD then there is absolutely no point in caching your system with another SSD.

will a 6300 work in my y500? it has 3 attena and my laptop only has 2 wires
From what I understand, the 6300 with the correct FRU should work with the Y500 with a stock BIOS. However if you use a 6300 not meant for Lenovo, or any other card, you would have to unlock your BIOS whitelist. As for the antennas, you can either just plug in two of the three and leave the third connector unplugged, or you can order a new antenna (eBay) and find somewhere to put it in the laptop chassis. Personally I would just unlock the BIOS and go with a better 2x2 card like the 7260.

Calibration can only do so much. So the answer is likely no. Colour calibration is to bring a monitor in line with accepted standard/as close as can be to perfect colour, however it can't do anything for a monitor that can't produce the necessary colours in the first place.
