You are right, but there is no M.2 SSD available on the market yet, if I'm right.
Many SSD manufacturers have their own versions of M.2 such as Adata, Plextor, Toshiba and others... Samsung was reported to incredible performance of 1200 MB/s read and 1000 MB/s write!!
So take some time, ponder and buy a small and fast M.2

Well... it's not impossible
Many customers from Europe and America have reported a problem (especially those who bought from Neweeg) :
there is only place for SSD (M.2 NGFF) but DOES NOT HAVE CONNECTOR on the motherboard!!!
So open your computer and check if connector is there:80:

the unlock tool patches your existing BIOS backup so it will still have your key in it, I can confirm it works
Great, can you confirm return to the original BIOS (before patch)?
Thanks

Whether someone after flash with unlocked Bios returned back to original BIOS?
Thanks
-
Well actually I do not know, because i have the 2.04 version which has not been cracked yet, I would say from the looks of it you should save your old key, but I do not know, if an unlocked version was avaliable I would love to try this for you, because I do not really care about the codes of home premium

Did you open cmd with administrator right C:\Windows\System32 right click on cmd and run with administrator rights
I open cmd and manage to made backup of BIOS!
I have Windows 8 licence (Y510p) and want to flash with unlocked BIOS. Will I lose licence if I flash with unlocked BIOS?
It is important to say that the key of Windows 8 is integrated into BIOS.
Thanks for advice

There's a bat file here that does it.
I download this tool (Fptw64_8_series) and extract zipped files.
When I run fptw64 showed me a message "the program can`t start because Pmxdll32e.dll is missing from your computer" (but Pmxdll32e.dll is in the file).
Where did I go wrong?
please help

My new 7260 is on it's way and the BIOS is modded and ready to roll, I'll report back here and let you guys know how it goes.

Here's hoping they can make a 120Gb one avaliable soon. I'd love to run the OS on that and just use the 1Tb for storage
-
Well Lenovo did the right thing. You're not supposed to be putting pasta on a GPU. That's not the right way to cook it.
-
id like to see it
Ok, I will send you some pictures disassembled 750m graphic card and my MX-2 thermal paste:snicker:
-
If someone wants to see HOW LENOVO do not PUT pasta on the second GPU(Y510p Ultrabay GPU), I will send a picture to the PM

I'm somewhat hesitant to flash the bios without having made a backup first. I can't make a backup because, as I said I get an error 51 when I try to make a backup using the Error 104 fix file.
What are the chances of something going wrong when I attempt to flash it?
Wait, I'm stupid. The flashing process in the OP requires you to make a backup first anyway... How am I supposed to flash it if I can't make the backup?

I don`t have any sticker but I found hardware information in AIDA64 Extreme Edition: Network Adapter Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230! I guess that`s model name? Is there a problem with this wireless card?
Thank you for replies

Thanks, I read in manuals that Y510p doesn`t have msata port but new M.2 NGFF port. Are you sure that in Y510p exist msata port?

Will msata Atlas Deluxe 120 Gb work on my new laptop(Y510p)?
Thank you very much

I have Cooler Master NotePal U2 with Two Configurable 80mm Fans and it work excellent on my last Y570 and my new Y510p!

problem with another graphics card 750m.
Temperature Ultrabay graphics card are after a few minutes were over 97 degrees, there was throttling.
I took it from the port, disassemble it and I see:
GPU HAS NO PASTA on it!!!
It is the cause of overheating.
To fix the problem you need repaste the Kepler GPU.

please reference, where can I see which model of wireless card is in a laptop?
