Whilst Clevo/Sager laptops tend to be a little generic, they easily give you the biggest bang for your buck, but as previously mentioned, there is more to a laptop than pure performance.

hi,
I'm currently on the official A12 Dell Bios and want to use the A11 unlocked version to disable my Intel graphic card and only use my gtx680m. Now my question is, can I use Method 2 and directly flash the unlocked A11 bios?
Is there something to attend If i disable my Intel Graphic card?
This is something I also wonder, as far as I know, boards with BIOS A10 or newer won't downgrade to an older BIOS, not 100% sure though.
There is nothing more you need to do after disabling the Intel Graphics, your system will automatically choose the GTX680M so no driver worries or anything like that.

Yeah, I've done that, with both the short and long power limits being set to 65W, the temp of the CPU never goes over 90C and the power draw never goes over about 54W during the benchmark. It's like my settings aren't actually changing anything.

Hey guys, I've got my new Alienware M17x R4 with a 3740QM and have tried to overclock it properly but it always seems to throttle, I've increased the short and long power limits and the turbo time limit both in the BIOS and Throttlestop, yet when running TS Bench 1024 it will always throttle to 3.5Ghz after about 20% completion.
Here are my clocks:
1 Core Limit: 41
2 Core Limit: 40
3 Core Limit: 39
4 Core Limit: 39
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Alienwares will have better cooling systems and better build quality, whereas the Sager/Clevo will have better hardware for the money, Alienwares tend to have more customization features as well, it's what you want really.

I had the same problem, all you should need to do is go to Device manager -> Display adapters.
In the drop down menu it should show a generic display adapter, right click on it and select Update Driver Software...
It will look for the drivers on the computer and install them, after that the computer will detect the card.
