I had the same problem with my old Acer Laptop, it was thermal throttling there (after a few minutes of gaming, the GPU clocked down and the games were unplayable). The wierd part there was that this worked only with AC III, running any other game caused the Laptop to crash (overheating protection) after a few minutes (it wasn't overclocked!!).

It's working fine for me too, i overclocked my 650 GPU's by 100mhz and my ram by 200. Never had any problems

3. Only the Y500 comes with an FullHD display, as conscriptvirus said, you could try 3rd party producs but i would not try that...
4. I recomment buying a ssd; about the same price as a msata one (1€/GB, a bit cheaper), you cal also get 128gb ssd for less than 100€

I have a Mac error while starting my Y500, just a black screen (the "Lenovo" logo does not even appear) saying something with Mac error, no bootable device (before updating my BIOS), I'll try the Update now, hopefully it fixes this Problems
