Keep all files for the regular proper BIOS update also on the USB in order to flash everything immediately afterwards in case it boots.

Thank you for your help Prema , but unfortunatelyits not my day today , i have just lifted my laptop , keyboard was not screw inand it fell out taking with it the piece that was solder in the motherboard.

So now im looking for new motherboard for my p177sm model

Anybody have any idea where i can buy one for good money?

SM-A has different RAM handling. Remove all but a single RAM and try to boot.

Hmm, we tested cross-flashing SM/SM-A before and the result, while not working properly and having broken keyboard backlights etc, at least didn't brick the system.

So there is hope.

Please make a CMOS reset (not recovery) and keep the proper files ready on the USB in case it boots up:

unfortunately that didnt help, laptop start for few sec and then switch it self off , and that untill i will take a plug out or press the power button to switch it off ... Any other ideas pleas ?????

Unfortunately no luck , with cmos reset , it try to start but then switch it self off after few seconds than start it self automatic and switch it self off again. Any ideas ?

What files did you use to flash?

Did you only flash the BIOS or also the ME and EC?

Hello Prema i have used , the bios from your web site p177sm-a , started with the step1 then laptop restarted it self and then managed to start step2 , all was going well until laptop restarted it self again and then since then i have black screen and i can do anything.

Any help will be more then welcome.

Hi pleas anybody help , i have just flashed my bios , and instead p177sm i have flashed p177sm-a bios , now my screen is black and i cant use my laptop. is there any way i can fix it. And if there is can anybody explain to me how ? or is the laptop good to put in bin now ?

hi there , im just wondering if you can help me , have a problem after updating to prema mode v3 , my procesor seams to only work now 1197 mhz, and i cant move it more even with throttlestop on turbo mode its still the same on v2.1 was working fine …. can you help ???? thx
