1. Modifying svl7's vbioses with svet's program resulted in bricks for a lot of people. So it is probably that.Does ASIC quality matter that much? There were many debates going on in other forums about how better ASIC quality doesn't mean better overclocking. For example, my 4gb 675mx has only 71.9% ASIC quality but I can OC to 1000+ on 1.012V

I can raise your voltage to 1.0250V if you post your vbios. :)

That would be awesome man. I used to have an overclock close to that so it just sucks now haha. Thank you all for your help. I am trying to upload it but it keeps telling me that my file is invalid. I was tried sending it by itself and also sending it as a .RAR file. Do i have to upload it to another site first?

  2. Is that why you had to send your laptop back to the manufacturer - you bricked your card after using SVET's VBIOS Tuner on svl7s VBIOS!? I've heard users bricking their cards trying to use that combination of program & VBIOS file. I wouldn't take that approach if I was you. If you want an overvoltable VBIOS for your 675MX, then I would request svl7 to make you one at this thread:

    http://forum.techinferno.com/general-notebook-discussions/4635-bios-vbios-modification-request-thread-svl7.html

Also, sometimes other users on this forum can create VBIOS files with fixed overvolts, so maybe one of those guys will see your post and help you out with that one.

What's your ASIC Quality? (see my post a few posts back) Are your temperatures OK of your GPU?

My ASIC qual is 76.9%. Not really sure what that means though. Man I'm wish I knew about bricking my gpu before I did my last one. It's a huge bummer going from 1000+/1100+ to what I have now.

  3. Yep, no problem. Did you see my edit in my last message - I don't think there's a VBIOS file listed in this thread that allows for overvolting of the 675MX. There might be one lurking somewhere in this thread, but it's not on the first page as far as I can see - have you found one yet?

(So how did you manage to overvolt your last one!?)

Oh ok. I was under the impression that they were able to be overvolted. I was using svet's vbios tuner to change the voltage

  4. I don't think it's possible to overvolt any stock VBIOS, and it's also not possible to overclock a stock VBIOS anymore than +135Mhz - you know that though right, otherwise I can't think why you would even be posting in this thread!? [confused!]

Yes, I recommend the svl7 VBIOS for overvolting, but make sure your temperatures are good before you even consider it. You want your GPU under 90degC at all times, under 80 degC is good, and under 70degC is excellent. As the temperatures rises, then the effect of overvolting on speed of silicon degredation is accelerated - shortening the life of your GPU, that's why low temperatures are important if you're using a lot of voltage.

I didn't know about not being able to do it to a stock vbios. And where I live is pretty cold so heating is normally 60-75. I was thinking about 1.025 for voltage. I'm still learning about all this stuff. This is my first gaming laptop/pc ever lol. Thank you for all your help

  5. Hey guys so for some reason my gtx675mx has been crashing after overclocking. Originally after using sl17's 2gb rom I could over clock to 1000/1200 without any problems. Unfortunately I tried to overvolt his rom and ended up sending back my laptop to MSI for some repairs and they replaced the gpu and mother board and now I can't overclock pass 750/950 without the gpu crashing. Any idea as to what could be doing this?

  6. Hey man, give him a little donation. The enjoyment you can get out of the massively increased performance warranted by a modded vBIOS is worth giving a little monetary credit! :-) The way I look at it, each time I game on my laptop, it wouldn't be as good if svl7 hadn't have contributed his knowledge & expertise! :-) It's added about £500 worth of performance value to my laptop, so it's not worth debating in my eyes! ;-) EDIT: maybe not £500 added value, but definitely £300!

You're absolutely right man. I wasn't even thinking about that. and thanks again svl7 for all this hard work:bananajump:

  7. I am very for spamming the forums guys. i really didnt meant to and CACV thank you for your kind words. You were right i just needed to do some more reading and research. I found another way of flashing without using the USB. Again i am very sorry guys.

  8. I just tried flashing my GPU but for some reason windows 8 wont let me do it. I followed the steps on making a bootable disk and added the nvflash and the vbios rom but after i choose to boot from the USB, windows8 takes me to the boot manager window...but when i choose the option "Use a device : use a USB drive, network connection...." it just boots up like normal. is there something i am not doing correctly? My system is the one in my sig.

  13. Seems I haven't posted an overvolted 675mx version yet... will see that I can do that.

Thank you very much svl7. It is simply amazing the works you and the fellow techs on here can do. I will start doing some reading and try to learn a little more about all of this. I will check back everyday for new overvolted version !!! :nanahump:.. thank you in advance.

P.S when will i be able to download stuff and see pictures on the forums?

  14. Hi guys i'm new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm courtney, and i just bought my first gaming pc :D...not so great when i see all the stuff coming out now a days but i got the GT 60 OND. Here are the specs : GTX 675MX/I7-3630 qm @ 2.4mhz/ 8 GB RAM. I overclocked the gpu using MSI after burner and i'm pretty satisfied with what i have. Anyways thanks for all the hard work you guys are doing and i look forward to talking with all of you :DDDD
