Hi I'm not the one who knows the most but I'll try helping. I think you might be able as long as you have an ExpressCard slot, which is more comfortable to use than the Wifi slot (for which you'll need to open the PC to plug in the PE4L). Even though you could do it without having an ExpressCard, but then I don't think I'll be able to help (don't worry though, here you'll find plenty of help ). Next step is to find out if you'll need to run a DSDT override, I found it quite complex when I had to do it but it's feasible. I'm not sure but it's for some memory allocation for the GPU (OMG I sound so retarted lol). Finally (if you get till here), do you have in the bios any way to switch between the integrated GPU (Intel HD) and the GT 555m, again I'm not sure and sorry about it, but it might come in handy to switch for the eGPU.

@Tech Inferno Fan it's not a big issue, most of games run smooth and flawless but there are often stuttering in wide areas. I don't have any hardware issue and Gen2 link is working perfectly. @EpicBlob that's exactly what is in my mind that some frames are skipped due to the CPU not handling enough. Even when the graphics are lowered and the res. I still have stuttering. I guess I'll need some new CPU. Damn it. Anyways thanks for your support.

Hey guys I have a question a bit off-topic so please excuse me. Ok, so I've the i3-3210m with GTX660 and I'm having lags in Crysis3 and BF4. Isn't the CPU kind of a bottleneck? Upgrading it to a 4 cores would be good or useless?

Will I need to redo the DSDT override? - - - Updated - - - @ sskillz Well I'm not very sure and someone else should confirm but if you are not going to use external screen I think it's of your personnal choices, Nvidia or AMD being both great cards. Now better go for a GTX 680 or 7970 instead of GTX 660 TI or for cheaper price have the gtx 660 (which I have and it's great).

I have a i33210m and can play BF3 on ultra in 64 servers along a gtx 660. So I'm not worried for your i5 but for BF4 I'm having lot of lags so I don't know if it's not a game issue...can't tell.

Thanks for your answer. Indeed when i run the integrated test of Gpu-Z (Render Test) the value goes back to 2.0, so everything is fine. The lags I had while playing BF3 were in multiplayer, so maybe due to internet connection. Anyways thanks. PS: Unigine score gave me 925 so not that bad.

Hi everyone, I posted a thread about some issues (which weren't) I had while recording and that I had some lags. Apparently those lags are due to the Gen2 enable port. When I use the Setup 1.x to enable the Gen2 port, then take a look in Gpu-Z, it says V2.0 (Gen2) then 2-3 seconds after switches to v1.1. There's something going wrong that i didn't notice until my brother played some BF3. I only can say that I didn't have this problem before and that Gen2 was enabled. What is it about? hardware or software? Thanks for your help

Ok Tech Inferno Fan, I've followed what you suggest (clean reinstall of drivers+high performance battery mode) and reran 3Dmark06 and here's result, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i3-3120M,FUJITSU FJNBB2A I get less points from previous benchmark, now I prefer not to look after it because I succeeded in running Setup 1.x, and GPUZ shows x1.2. Here are 3Dmark06 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i3-3120M,FUJITSU FJNBB2A, nearly 4000 points gained. I'll run other benchmarks soon and will post them. Thanks for the reply, here's GPUZ screenshot The good point is that there's still performance gain. I don't see any setup in bios beside really basic (AHCI, TIME/DATE, PASSWORD, no hardware setups) so I think I'll have the setup 1.x. Could you please tell me how to proceed?.

Ok I got it working hooray! I installed drivers but the installer didn't prompt for restart, so I just launched Tomb Raider and it worked, at launcher I could choose GTX660. The game is smooth while on Intel HD there were lags and some black area graphics issues. I'll run some benchmark and post. Special thanks to jacobsson who helped me all through this and to all community. I've got another issue when running 3DMark11 I've error message Workload Single init returned error message: DXGI call IDXGISwapChain::SetFullscreenState failed: The requested functionality is not supported by the device or the driver. Thanks for your reply. I've installed desktop driver but on restart, at the windows loading screen there's BSOD and reboots. When I unplug eGPU then hotplug black screen, reboot, win7 loading screen and BSOD on so on and on reboot there is a "tac" sound. (could the BSOD be due to eGPU? Weid thing is after drivers install I can see "GTX 660" in device display) I am looking for Optimus drivers for GTX660 in order to run internal LCD.

Man....you're a life saver; the fans were at full charge and the switch was the trick: on switch 2 win7 recognized the gpu now drivers: what should I download? Also when I connect the PE4L the wifi is disabled...

Got it powered on; but even connected to laptop nothing happens, no device popup...after restart still nothing....although there are green and red lights, I've tried it on XP and it report some "USB\VID_8087&PID_07DA\6&D2B1927&0&1" under other devices -> usb devices???

I'll have all components in next hours (today for sure) and will need help because of cofiguration, I need Optimus drivers but which ones (GTX660+the PE4L-EC v2.1) and as I'm a big noob what connectors will I need? Ok so I installed Win7 but when I "loadtable" I get error "Error: Count not access the registry path: System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ACPI\Parameters\DSDT\FUJ___\FJNBB2A_\02080000" Now I think i'm really lost...what could be the issue? EDIT: Apologizes, I didn't run the cmd as administrator. Looks good after restart.

Ok guys, I've tried several times to get the .aml file but no success, tried with different versions of iASL, but there are just no .aml output. I'm feeling kind of lost in such technical things. Anyone could help? Edit: HAHA! I'm laughing of myself, there was a switch to force .aml output even if errors occured. However when I try to "loadtable" the "large memory" isn't there. I guess I must look over errors or such :| EDIT: Reboot --> BSOD even in Safe Mode. I really don't understand what can I do. I'll reinstall XP and look over it again. EDIT: Ok got back xP with last good known configuration. No graphics. Reinstalled Intel drivers brought back resolution.
