  1. I'm in the same boat as deis... I click the link in Hotkey, or try the default keyboard shortcut, and nothing pops up. I can tell it tries to load, because CPU usage goes up for a few seconds, then that's it. If there was an error message, I'd give you one, but never did anything show up.

EDIT: I'm on Windows 8 with a P150EM with 7970M dGPU and Intel HD 4000 iGPU... I'm also running hotkey 8.0129...

EDIT2: I did find some errors in the Event Viewer...

  2. Guys, I made a very dumb mistake... I used this method of being able to flash vbios's to our 7970M card (I have a Sager NP9150) with this bios:
AMD release HD 7970 Ghz bios upgrade for Reference HD 7970 !

I was just experimenting, thinking i'd be able to get back to the original vbios if It didn't work out that well. Well, here's my problem. It wouldn't flash, saying the IDs don't match, so I forced it. Then, rebooted. The Hardware ID now changed, and I could install drivers for it, but I can't activate it because of the Enduro. There's no option to enable it in Catalyst Control Center anymore. It's basically in limbo.

Installing the regular way through windows says that there is no adapter, and trying with dos from my flash drive says the same thing... My BIOS says that there is no VGA adapter, maybe because it doesn't recognize it with the new HWID?

My old HWID was: PCIVEN_1002&DEV_6800&SUBSYS_51051558&REV_00 Now it is: PCIVEN_1002&DEV_6AAF&SUBSYS_51051558&REV_00

Is there anything I could try guys? I haven't bothered with trying through DOS (on my flash drive) yet, because I read we were having difficulties...

So to summarize: I flashed a different cards vbios, now I can't use it or flash back.
  3. Alright, I can test now, awesome!

First, specs: P150EM/NP9150, with AMD 7970M and Intel HD 4000 Graphics...

    Now, thoughts...

Pros: I like the replacement of the old version, very nice... The graphical interface is easy to follow, after a slight learning curve... Much better than a dialog box. All of the basic, and sound, effects work out of the box...

Not Pros: Maybe it's the high resolution of the screen, but the screen, especially the bottom left, is very cramped. So much so, it overlaps some of the interface (pic included). This only happened once, but the on-screen keyboard colors didn't match the actual backlit keyboard ones. Not a big deal, but I'll try to reproduce and report more on that after some more time with it! Admin Privileges are still needed for a lot of the functions, which launching through the built in "start with windows" setting doesn't provide. Of course you can change the program itself to always run as admin through the control dialog, but that's slightly a pain/nuisance... I don't know if there is anything to do about that, though, I did find a workaround temporarily, which launches the program through Task Scheduler, instead of the built in screen... My 7970M information is loaded once initialized (started a game, etc), in GPU 1, but my Intel card doesn't show anything ever, in the GPU 2 option... Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know...

Personal Suggestions: Although I understand why the 'side' would be black when the 7970M isn't active, for utilization %, (aka it being '0'/the iGPU), but could there be a way to set it do be either blue, like 1-whatever percent, or one of our choosing?! That would be really awesome...

This is just my initial finds, I'll email/PM you guys other thoughts/impressions/bugs that I find as they come up! Thanks again for coming up with, and working on, this! We are all very appreciative...

    • Thumbs Up 2
  4. Thank you for working on this! I am willing to Beta Test, if you still need more people; I have a Sager NP9150 (Clevo P150EM), with the AMD 7970M/Intel HD 4000... I will provide honest and thorough feedback, after extensive testing...

I'm not sure if PM-ing will work, since I still this is a new account here, but I'll do what I can to get that up and working, if you want to get a-hold of me.

    Thanks,
