I would like to say bye and wish the best making 980m work smoothly to all.I sild my AW17 with 980M and moved on to Clevo P770ZM. Everything just works and out of the box 3DMark scores are higher (Graphics 9823pts vs 8905pts on AW17). I decided to make the switch after seeing Dells new alienware lineup...its just sad.

J95 regarding the drivers.

I will need to flash my 980m with unlocked vbios first before I can use your drivers?

If yes can you pls let me know the link to the procedure and where to get the vbios.

Also I noticed that after installing the eurocom drivers there is one win notification popping up after install on the cudasenc. You post also has a link so I also need to install the modified cudasenc to make it work?

Hmm... I have installed 980m in my AW17.. Using in optimus mode, win8.1, UEFI with legacy disabled.

J95 wish to use your latest modded driver very much but no go...Using DDU to clean in safe mode, disable driver signature enforcement and I am able to install. But once I start steam or any game my laptop will hang and I have to force shutdown by holding the power button down until the laptop shuts down. I am running win8.1 in AW17 with BIOS A09. Any idea what might be the issue? If instead I install the eurocom drivers from their website everything is running with no issue but these are the 344.65 version.

I intend to compare the eurocom drivers to stock NVidia drivers of same version and see which files they have modded and how to make it work...then copy this for latest driver.

I encountered the battery issue on the a11 version, still its no issue if you connect the power, so I am living with it to enjoy the added gpu power

In order to overcome the 67C throttling, there is advice on using nvidia inspector and force pstates using batch files (one for overclock and one for default), it works also really well!

am now at 1000(core)/2500(mem), the only thing which is left is to be able to adjust the threshold for the GPU throttling.

I am living in the tropics and don't always have aircon on....any hope in that?
