I can't see any way there could be a direct correlation here outside of a power draw problem, which unless you have a massive OC and OV on your CPU and GPUs, is pretty much out of the question.

I didn't notice any improvement with A10 but I just got mine back from the depot and it has other issues, also caused by an onsite tech that didn't know what he was doing and the depot repair didn't get it straightened out either.

That is a known issue with the drivers. Uninstall the driver package that came with the card, reboot your system and wait for it to download the one it finds on Windows update. As long as you don't care about the management software for the card, I would leave it that way -- believe me it's much less of a headache.

I would certainly go for the backpack. I picked one up on Amazon (the official alienware one). It's FAR more comfortable and I don't think it's ever a good idea to carry something this heavy on 1 shoulder. Plus, i've always had issues with the shoulder bags sliding off and I don't think you want a 3-5K machine bouncing on the floor.

Is the display driver resetting and windows barking at your or just the screen flashing black?
