  1. Sorry, what did you set to custom? PCIe is limited for power consumption as the card won't breach its current limit anyway.Tutorials | Prema Mod
Sorry my bad, I've set the memory to custom but cannot change CMD rate from 2 to 1.Also I'm not sure what you mean by limited for power consumption, I was under the impression that the x79 chipset is pcie 3.0 but on my p570wm it only runs at 2.0.
  2. The CMD Command rate (which may be T1 or T2) is the time it takes between when the signal is given to select the memory chip to be used (can be any of the chips within each memory bank) and the beginning of a read cycle of the memory chip. T1 means that this time it only takes 1 clock cycle and 2T takes 2 clock cycles.1T is typically ~4-5% faster than the same memory/speeds at 2T.
Is there any chance that the CMD rate could be implimented into the bios settings so that I could change it myself, currently I'm running 32gb corsair vengance 1600 @ 1866. Also could you please tell me if after updating my p570wm to prema mod v2 bios this would give me problems flashing my 680 sli's with svl7 vbios's? I have already flashed them a few times, but since updating to prema mod v2 I can no longer flash my vbios, nvflash states cannot read file etc???
  3. I only hit 80C with fans on auto also with a 1.05V BIOS @1019/4720, and I think I can stay under 75C if I force the fans high. I believe that you have beefier radiators so your temps should be lower than mine. Maybe clevo bends the heatsinks where they contact the GPU die on the P570 like they do on the P150 and P170. Lapping the heatsink and increasing die pressure dropped my temps by almost 20C, and using liquid ultra dropped temps even more.Just something to keep in mind if you want to push more volts. Maybe run the laptop in that meat freezer just once day to beat everyone else :)
Could you please direct me to the instructions for the pencil mod on the 680m. Thanks
  4. So I've been playing around with XTU and managed to clock my 3820 to 4.3 x 4 cores, and set my 32GB Vengance 1600 RAM to 2133 9,9,8,26. My 680's are running 1.025vbios @ 1010/2320. This setup is totally stable leading to max temps in games of 55c-65c CPU, 72c GPU 2 & 65c GPU 1, with fans set to auto. When benching, my CPU will approach 82c and both GPU's in the 70's with fans in auto and slightly lower with fans @ 100%. Does anybody have any further tips, or know of the pencil volt mod for the 680's. I am currently top on 3d Mark11 with this CPU on this setup with a score of P13649. I can supply pictures if you like. Also my full memory timings are tCL 9, tRCD 9, tRP 8, tRAS 26, tRD 5, tWR 12, tRTP 6, tWTR 6, tRFC 160, tFAW 24, 1T @ 1.50v stock. Anybody have any recommended tweaks for these settings.

  5. I run my P570WM SLi 680m with 1.025vbios (Gpu 1015MHz - VRAM 2200MHz), When playing Crysis 3 (Fully Max'd out) 1 680 reaches 65-72c and the other 71-78c I have removed the original thermal paste which I must say was some really nasty cheap glup, and replaced it with Arctic Silver 5. I done this twice because of the difference in temperatures making sure that the heatsinks where seated properly. Don't know if your experiencing temperatures like this, but hope it helps?

  6. Hi there, I'm new to this forum but not new to overclocking and bios's all be it I haven't done it since 2007 so guessing a little has changed. I've just brought myself a clevo P570WM with the 3820, gtx680m sli, 32gb vengeance 1600, crucial m4 etc etc. After seeing everybodies results with these cards i'm interested in what oc vbios people think I should be using. Any help would be much appreciated.
