6990m in m15x but have a black screen. help!

I have a dell 6990m bought it off ebay, part number RDRGR, was tested in an m18x r1. Anyways the card is fine I'm assuming but I have a black screen the moment I start up the computer but I can hear the sound of windows starting up and everything. Please someone help. What do I do?
Also My specs are
i7-740qm
500gb hdd seagate
6gb ram
Original card was radeon hd 5730m
HD+ 1600x900 screen
