Hey gang, can anyone tell me if the links to the bios on the front page are working? I've got the minimum number of posts (which were legit posts from a year ago when I first modified my bios), but I still get the error: you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:... I'm only asking because there's a banner for a forum download conversion listed above, buy I don't see any Y500 files in that section. If someone can confirm those links on page 1 are in fact working I'll suck it up and pay the subscription fee again.

Thanks much svl7. The centrino 2230 that shipped with the Y500 makes me want to cry. Meanwhile, I purchased a "lenovo" 6300 on ebay which still fails the whitelist validation. This is a great laptop aside from the crippled wireless. Your efforts are much appreciated.

I had a lot of vsync issues with older driver versions. Some blue screens, some driver reloading amid usage (black screen and heavy hdd usage seen during the issue with an obvious entry in eventvwr). The 320 beta has resolved a lot of this for me, give it a whirl.

Repasting will not improve your temperatures. I repasted the Ultrabay GPU with OCZ Freeze, which in my experience works better than IC Diamond, and it didn't didn't help at all. Follow the advice of all of us who have repasted and don't do it.

I had to break a lot of plastic clips when disassembling mine. I was really hesitant, was afraid I was going to break my new toy as some of the clips were in really tight spots.
